Refund Policy
Here at Decker Photography, we are dedicated to capturing the chaos. That said, we understand life can be completely hectic and have these policies in place to protect you, us, and our time.
Refunds
In the case of camera failure, inclement weather, or any other unforeseen incident that prevents Decker Photography from shooting on a scheduled date, a new date will be scheduled, or client will be offered transferrable credit to be used within 8 months. If client chooses to not reschedule or declines transferrable credit, any retainer payments made will not be refunded.
No refund will be given under any circumstances if you fail to attend the activity on the day and at the time listed, when the booking was made.
Due to the nature of digital photography and the fact that photographs, once sent, cannot be returned; Decker Photography has a strict NO REFUNDS POLICY. Once a transaction has been completed (i.e., the buyer selected and paid for the session and then DP completes the session per the contract) it is then considered non-refundable. Refunds will NOT be given due to “not liking a photo”.
Fees and Payments
The first payment is a non-refundable retainer (50% of total cost shown, or 20% of total cost shown if utilizing a payment plan). At a minimum, Client agrees that the retainer fee fairly compensates Provider for committing to provide the Services and turning down other potential projects/clients. All retainers will go towards final price.
If full payment is not received by agreed upon due date, Photographer reserves the right to refuse service or refuse the release of photos to the client until the full amount is paid. No products or unwatermarked digitals will be provided or released until payment is made in full and invoice is complete.
Late Fees
If Provider does not receive payment from Client within fourteen calendar days of any payment date, then Client will be charged a late fee of 1.5% of the outstanding amount per each day that Contractor does not receive payment.
For example, Client owes Contractor $1000 due on April 1 and fails to pay by April 14th. On April 15th, Client owes Contractor $1015. On April 16th, Client owes Contractor $1030.23. On April 17th, Client owes Contractor $1045.68, and so on.
No Show Fees
If client does not show up to session location on agreed upon date and time without prior written communication, provider reserves the right to charge a $75 No-Call No-Show fee.
Reschedule Fee
Any reschedule after initial complimentary reschedule will result in a $50 reschedule fee per reschedule.
